Social Work Laboratory
Social Work Laboratory was established in February 2010. It covers an area of 200 square meters approximately. The laboratory has four functions, including experimental teaching, practice service, scientific study, and social practice. As a collaborative program with province and ministry, the laboratory is built under the joint investment of central government, local government, and Inner Mongolia University.
The laboratory is designed in reference to some advanced ideas and the framework of similar laboratories of Peking University, China Youth University of Political Studies, and Beijing Normal University. It consists of two case studios, one group studio, one observation room, one monitoring room, and one multi-media computer room. Across the country, the laboratory possesses both advanced hardware equipment, such as Color Dome All-in-one camera and Nonlinear Editor, and advanced teaching experimental software system, such as community correction system, telephone interview system, and fieldwork software system.
The laboratory plays the following functions for all staffs and students of the school: providing basic conditions for analogous test of theories, improving students' professional practice ability and social investigation skill, providing a suitable place for social worker professional training/education within the Inner Mongolian region, and acting as a platform for scientific research within the minority region.
